CROP has a relationship with seven research bases that provide CROP and cancer patients in our community with National Cancer Institute approved cancer prevention, symptom control and treatment protocols. These research bases include:
MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) The Community Oncology Program (CCOP) research base at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center provides clinical trials to a national network of community oncology center in cancer treatment, symptom control and prevention.
National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP) A national cooperative group sponsors clinical trials for adults in breast, colon and rectal cancers involving chemotherapy and chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
North Central Cancer Treatment Group (NCCTG) This cooperative group allows promising scientific ideas developed at the Mayo Clinic to be tested in many communities throughout the NCCTG network, allowing broad access to the latest therapies.
